Is UCLA Health Careers a good place to work?
Forbes and Becker’s Healthcare, two specialized business and healthcare periodicals, recognized UCLA Health as one of the finest places to work.
In 2018, UCLA Health was recognized by Forbes as a Top Midsize Workplace in the United States.
More than 30,000 American workers in organizations with 1,000 or more staff members were surveyed independently to determine the ranking. UCLA Health is proud of its 43rd place in the country on Forbes’ list of all sectors.
The hospitals, health systems, and healthcare firms included in Becker’s list, 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare 2018, go above and above in areas such as workforce diversity, employee engagement, and professional advancement.
The newspaper compiled the list based on reader submissions and in-house research.
Although the approaches varied, the results were consistent: UCLA Health is unique among its competitors as an employer.
Dr. John Mazziotta, v.c. of UCLA Health Sciences and CEO of UCLA Health, was pleased to receive this recognition for the organization’s dedication to its staff and positive work environment.
“We are grateful that our personnel takes pride in our institution and its goal – and that our efforts on their behalf are equally acknowledged – because they are the backbone of our organization’s capacity to offer high-quality, patient-focused medical care, teaching, and research.”
In addition to Mazziotta, Johnese Spisso, president of UCLA Health and chief executive officer of the UCLA Hospital System, were included in this year’s list of the 100 Great Leaders in Healthcare by the newspaper.
According to Beckers, people on the list are dedicated to addressing the most pressing issues in healthcare and working to enhance the standard of care provided to patients.
Taken as a whole, these three recognitions demonstrate UCLA Health’s unwavering dedication to providing excellent care to patients and fostering a positive work environment for employees.
UCLA Health’s chief human resources officer, Susi Takeuchi, said, “The overall well-being of our workers is vital to the success of UCLA Health, and we’re glad of Becker’s Healthcare’s and Forbes’ acknowledgment of our efforts on their behalf.”
We believe that our people are what set us apart as a healthcare institution, and we will do everything in our power to help them succeed.
