Mountain Park encourages its patients to take a proactive approach to their health. Education, Tests, and access to low-cost medicines may help avoid significant health issues.

Proactive healthcare may also assist manage chronic disorders such as obesity and diabetes and diagnosing diseases in their most treatable phases, such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. We’re always here to help, no matter when you need us.

Keeping the cost of healthcare down

You can rely on our compassionate team to assist you in navigating the AHCCCS or the healthcare marketplace. If you need assistance with SNAP (previously known as food stamps) or TANF, we can assist you (cash assistance).

Developing a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).

Our patients come first at all times. Mountain Park is a Patient-Centered Medical Home, which means that all of your medical needs may be met under one roof.

There is a whole team of primary care doctors, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical pharmacists in one exam room for you to use.

A community health facility, Mountain Park Health Center is a non-profit organization. We’ve been caring for patients and their families for almost 40 years.

Nearly 80,000 of our neighbors in Goodyear, Tempe, and Phoenix are kept healthy each year because of our work.

Our main goal is to make primary care more affordable for everyone in the neighborhood.

The Joint Commission, which accredits healthcare institutions throughout the United States, has recognized all Mountain Park clinics.

In receiving this recognition, Mountain Park has shown its dedication to high standards of quality, safety, and training for all of its employees.

It is a requirement that to keep its Gold Seal of ApprovalTM, Mountain Park undergoes an on-site assessment by a Joint Commission survey team at least once every three years.

Under the Federal Tort Claims Act of the Health Resources and Services Administration, Mountain Park Health Center is classified as a facility (FTCA).

Under 42 U.S.C. 254b, this health center is a grantee of the Health Center Program and an employee of the Public Health Service (n).

Our medical staff prioritizes the needs of each and every one of their clients. Mountain Park is a Patient-Centered Medical Home, which means that all of your medical needs may be met under one roof.

A primary care physician or nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist, behavioral health counselor, and registered nutritionist will all be available in the same exam room for your convenience.

We’ll do all we can to make it as simple as possible for you to see a member of our Care Team, and our extended hours and many locations make it even easier.

Every 5-year-old and older can get the COVID vaccine!

This year, we’ve decided to vaccinate everyone in our community who is at least 5 years old! There is no charge for the COVID-19 vaccination at any of our clinics, whether you are a patient or not!

Booster Shot COVID-19 Is Now Available

Pfizer, J&J, and Moderna have been allowed by the CDC to re-vaccinate persons who have already received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Every 16-year-old should now get a booster shot, according to current recommendations.

Vaccine Recommendations from Pfizer and Moderna

If you had a Pfizer or Moderna vaccination more than six months ago (180 days) and are at least 16 years old, you should obtain a booster dose right away!

Immunization Protocols by J&J

As a 16-year-old who had the J&J vaccination at least 30 days ago, you should also get a booster dose.

Booster dosage “Mix & Match”:

According to CDC guidelines, people may pick which vaccines they get as booster doses regardless of what they got in their main series. Only booster shots may be mixed and matched in this manner.

Why should I vaccinate my kid against COVID-19?

The immunization against COVID-19 may help safeguard your kid. Adults are more likely to get infected with COVID-19 than children are; they are also more likely to become ill from COVID-19, and they are more likely to pass the virus on to others.

Your child’s health and your family’s health can be safeguarded by vaccinating them. Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 is the only vaccine available for children ages 5 and above. ‘

Is the vaccination safe for my child?

Yes. COVID-19 vaccinations are safe and effective in clinical trials. Children, like adults, may have negative effects after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

These adverse effects may impair their day-to-day activities, but they should subside after a few days. COVID-19 vaccinations are now available to children ages 5 and older. Vaccination and puberty: what’s the deal?

A link between the COVID-19 vaccination and delayed puberty has not been found.

Is my kid at risk of developing an illness due to the vaccine?

COVID-19 cannot be passed on to your kid via any COVID-19 vaccination, not even the Pfizer-BioNTech one. Soreness, redness, swelling at the injection site, headache, fatigue, muscular pain, chills, fever, and nausea are all possible adverse effects.

Does the COVID-19 vaccination for children vary from the vaccine for adults?

It will be a new product with new packaging, preparation, and national drug code for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination for 5–11-year-olds (NDC). Children should not use the existing product for adults and adolescents.

If so, how does one go about administering it to a youngster instead of a grown-up?

There is a difference in the amount of diluent used in the vaccines for children aged 5–11 and adults. Additional training will be provided by the U.S. government and the company so that healthcare practitioners may deliver vaccines to younger children.

Is there a second dose of the vaccination required for my child?

When your kid is 3 weeks old, they will require a second Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine injection.

Then what if my kid requires further vaccinations in the future?

The COVID-19 vaccine and additional vaccinations may be given to your kid in the same visit, or you don’t have to wait the standard 14 days between shots.

Is the vaccination available to everyone?

Everyone above the age of 5 has been vaccinated. Patients and non-patients alike may get vaccines at our clinics.

Do I need to obtain a total of how many COVID-19 vaccination shots?

Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, or Pfizer vaccines are available in Mountain Park. After receiving the Moderna or Pfizer vaccination, you must return to Mountain Park for a follow-up dose.

The Moderna vaccination should be administered at least 28 days after the Pfizer vaccine. A single dosage of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is required for full protection against the disease.

Should I receive the vaccination again if I’ve previously had COVID-19 and recovered?

Yes. Since COVID-19 poses a serious threat to your health, you should get vaccinated regardless of whether or not you’ve previously been infected.

After your symptoms have subsided for 2 to 4 weeks, you will be ready to get the vaccination. Contact your healthcare practitioner if you have any concerns regarding the COVID-19 vaccination or the therapies you’ve received.

Is there anything I can do now to protect myself against the virus until I obtain the vaccine?

You should wear a mask over your mouth and nose when you are with people who are not members of your family, remain at least six feet away from ill individuals, avoid large groups, and wash your hands often.
Are there any common adverse effects?

Side effects following vaccination are typical and are a good indicator that your body is preparing to fight against infection. Most of these adverse effects subside after a day or two after using the medication.
The following are some of the most common side effects:

  • Arm pain and edema after vaccination
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Headache
  • Tiredness

Do I need to wear a mask and avoid contact if I am fully vaccinated?

If you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, you are no longer need to wear a mask or keep a distance of six feet or more from other people, except when you are within a public building and in an area with significant or high transmission.

Or as needed by federal, state, municipal, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidelines.

I’m afraid of the vaccine’s possible adverse effects. Therefore I’m not going to receive it. What do we really know?

Side effects may make you feel like you have the flu and impair your ability to go about your regular routine, but this is only temporary.

With a 95 percent success rate, this vaccination is safe and effective in protecting against the deadly COVID-19 virus, which has killed about 5 million people globally and more than 700,000 in the United States since the pandemic began.
