Since 1977, Miami Beach Community Health Center, Inc. (MBCHC) has served the residents of Miami-Dade County as a primary care clinic.
Our goal is to be our patient’s first choice for general and specialist medical treatment and the management of chronic conditions and related support services, all at a price they can afford.
MBCHC has three Miami locations: two on Miami Beach and one in North Miami. Internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, HIV/AIDS services, dentistry, endocrinology, optometry, psychiatry and mental health, podiatry, and geriatrics are among the specialties covered.
The laboratory and pharmacy may be accessed at any of the three stores. Drugs sold at MBCHC stores are discounted at the 340B rate.
Patients who qualify for patient assistance programs offered by pharmaceutical companies may get their medications at no cost. In addition, individuals who need it may use no-cost rides and interpretive services.
We also provide case management services, including help signing up for Medicare, Healthy Start prenatal care, and health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (often known as “Obamacare”).
Primary Care Medical Home is approved by the National Committee for Quality Assurance and accredited by the Joint Commission for ambulatory care and laboratory services.
With this highest level of certification, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has recognized MBCHC as a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
Because MBCHC is in the top 1-2 percent of all health centers in the US on clinical quality indicators that improve diabetic health and heart health, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) designated it a National Quality Leader in 2020.
In 2020, MBCHC served 54,463 unique patients, of whom 23.4% had Medicaid or other public insurance, 41.3% were uninsured, and 96.2% had earnings of 200 percent or less of the Federal Poverty Level.
Everyone in Miami Beach and the rest of Miami-Dade County deserve access to affordable, high-quality health care regardless of gender, race, color, religion, ethnicity, politics, marital status, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, language preference, or physical or mental ability.
No one is denied treatment due to an inability to pay, and everyone gets the same high-quality medical attention.
