About Brevard Health Alliance

There is just one Federally Qualified Health Center in Brevard County, Brevard Health Alliance, Inc. Regardless of their financial situation, Brevard County residents can rely on BHA to deliver comprehensive primary health care.

With sliding-scale fees, BHA has provided primary care, mental health services, dental services, and diagnostics to Brevard County’s economically disadvantaged citizens since March 2005.

It has also offered women’s health and obstetrics services, Hepatitis C and HIV services, extended hours of pediatric walk-in care, and specialty referrals.


A patient-centered medical and dental home is what we are striving to achieve. Our mission is to offer not just acute treatment but also preventative and health-related education to our patients as family healthcare providers.

There is a community board of directors for the Brevard Health Alliance, a private, non-profit corporation. We have patients on more than half of our board.

The Mobile Unit

Our Mobile Health Unit provides services to people at different places around Brevard County. When it comes to providing medical treatment to those in need, the Brevard Health Alliance Mobile Health Units want to be able to meet them “where they are.”

Approximately 2,500 Brevard County residents who appear as homeless get assistance from us at any one time.

High-Quality Medical Treatment

Board-certified doctors, advanced practice nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are part of the Brevard Health Alliance’s primary care team.

Well-child care, well-woman care, and physical exams are all included in this service. Diabetes, hypertension, and other long-term diseases are chronic disorders managed with BHA.

FTCA Deemed Facility: Brevard Health Alliance. HHS funds this health facility and grants it Federal Public Health Service (PHS) recognized status about specific health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its insureds.

Fees for the BHA

Patients without health insurance are provided reduced rates depending on their family size and income.

BHA accepts Health First, Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance plans, and Aetna and Blue Cross and Blue Shield are also accepted.

According to 42 USC 254b, Brevard Health Alliance is a grantee of the Health Center Program and is declared an employee of the Public Health Service by 42 USC (n).

What does Brevard Health Alliance do?

Emergency services are available around the clock. Services such as Asthma treatment, necessities, mental health services, blood pressure monitoring, cancer detection, case management and social services, child development services and contraceptives (issued along with counseling), dental and oral health care, and flu vaccinations are just a few examples of the wide range of health-related services available to families in need.

Education on health and nutrition, vaccinations, laboratory testing and medication prescribing, mental health counseling, and referrals to specialty care are just some of the services provided by the Mobile Medical Services program. Pediatrics, physical examinations, primary health care, and referrals for specialty care are also offered.


Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States Department of Health and Human Services; the Florida Association of Community Health Centers (FACHC); and Florida Kidcare are among the organizations that make up Health First, Inc.


One thousand two hundred twenty-one people are estimated to be homeless.
Three thousand sixty patients have been serviced.
